Bougenvillia wont bloom

Question
I have had a bougenvillia as an indoor tropical plant here in Canada for about 4 years and it refuses to bloom.  Any suggestions?

Answer
Hi Jane, Bougs like bright light and heres the secret "very little water", yes, the more drought stressed they are, the more color they produce; here in Florida, they are outdoor plantings that thrive on neglect believe it or not. I have many people come up to me and ask how it is I get my Bougs to look so colorful (and incidentally, the color is actually a bract, the flower itself is that tiny little center), and I tell them, basically I don't do anything to them except give them a granular fertilizing twice a year, and let mother nature take care of the watering.
