vinca

Question
hi, this is our first time planting vinca, my husband planted them several weeks ago and they are dying. some have wilted pretty bad but appear to have buds forming others are just dry brittle and brown. i was told they were drought resistant..1) are we watering too much 2) should we pull them up and start over or is there a way to save them Help!

Answer
Chantel:
These plants need a well-drained soil. Avoid too much water- just moist to the touch. If plants initially perked up for awhile, they may have a disease. I'd try one more time, if no results, may consider another bedding plant. Many of these plants are disposable and it is much easier to start over.

Steve
