Question
My S. Oreophila Sand Mountain rhizomes need dividing this year. Is it Ok to do it now or should I wait a little longer?

Hi Clare,

Wait until around the end of next month.  It's still a bit early.  For us here at the nursery we usually start dividing Sarracenia right around March 1rst.  About a week earlier for earlier growers like oreophila and flava is just fine.  The reason for waiting until closer to when the plant comes out of dormancy is so that it can recover from the damage quickly.
