Sarracenia seeds

Question
Hello. I have some sarracenia seeds and I was wondering if it's ok to plant them right now in San Jose, California or should I keep them in my refrigerator at home until next winter?

Thank you for your help.

Answer
Hi Barclay,

There's still time to stratify Sarracenia seeds, but you will need to do it in the refrigerator.  Seeds need to be cold and damp for 6 weeks in order to germinate.  Here's some more detailed directions:  http://www.cobraplant.com/caresheets/coldhardyseeds?chapter=1

Good Growing!
