Sprinkler not working

Question
Hello Guillermo
Having a problem...sprinkler system has worked fine for years and now all of a sudden, I can't get any zone to work. I'll try to give you the most information I can.
Kwikdial controller...we have 12 staions . Controller appears to be functioning...when a station is on test mode turned on, putting a meter with black on the "C" wire and red on the station wire reads 27.90volts (although when doing that, all the stations read 27.85 volts...i.e. if station 1 is supposed to be on, stations 2-12 also all read 26 volts).I can manual turn on at valve it working fine
Tranformermer output read 28Volt

I don't believe there is a master valve...the port labeled P/MV has no wire connecting to it.

May be too much information but wanted you to know everything. Thanks for your help!

Answer
Hi

Looks like your controller get damaged. When one station is working the remaining should not have any voltage. Try this: disconnect the wires that come from the transformer the two yellows this will cut the power to the controller, reconnect and see, sometimes this trick has worked.

You says that with one station on all have voltage? if it is true all the valves should be open. It is? but with very low pressure.

Check also for a cut wire (s) to the valves, make sure there are communication between the controller and the valves: measure the omhs at each controller station. Set the meter to omhs and to measure 200 omhs. Put the black lead on the Com port and the red at each port. You should have a reading between 20 and 60 omhs. I you get less than 20 you have a short, if you gets more than 20 the circuit is open. Either no reading or more than 60 means you probably have a cut wire.

Regards
Guillermo.
