Question
I just had a new rainbird modular controller installed.  When I  point the dial to the 1st station and push the manual start/ advance button, the first station immediately starts watering.  However, when I point the dial to the 2nd station and press the manual start/advance button, some water will leak out of the sprinklers.  So I have to press the manual start/advance button about three times before the sprinklers start.  What is causing this?

Hey Diane, more than likely, you either have a problem with the solenoid on the valve, or the diaphram in the valve. You might try to install a new solenoid first, and if this doesn't help, then install a new diaphram. Go to www.irrigationtutorials.com and this site will show you how to repair a valve.
