Sprinkler system will not start

Question
I have a rain dial residential sprinkler system.  It has always worked fine but
when I attempted to manually start it today it would not come on.  The
controller indicates it should be working, but no water.  I checked to make
sure the water valve was on and it is.  Any ideas???

Thanks

Answer
Make sure all of the electric valves are open halfway, check your main water supply again.  You may also have a loose common wire somewhere in the system, so check all of the elctrical connections both at the controller and at the valves.  They need to be secure and waterproof.  Since none of the valves are working, but the controller seems to be, I would suspect a loose common wire .
