Tropical Hibiscus

Question
Hi, I live in upstate New York and have two tropical, non-cold tolerant, hibiscus shrubs that have decorated my front porch this summer.  I would like to bring them inside and overwinter them so they survive to next summer but have never had hibiscus before.  What is the best way to overwinter these plants?

Answer
Bring them in and put them by a southern exposed window where they can enjoy the sun, mist the leave frequently to prevent spider mites from infesting them, and keep the soil evenly moist, but allow to dry out between waterings; they may suffer a little, but should make it until the spring when you can move them back out..Nick
