queen anne palm

Question
After a very hard winter, my queen anne palms are all brown. I see no green at all. Are they now dead?, or do I need to trim them back? and wait to see if they come back?

Answer
Hi Gail, if there is no green at all, then they are probably gone, but like I have said to numerous questioners (concerning the same problem..), be patient, spray it down heavily with a Copper fungicide and then its a waiting game, and it can take a long time before you can finally admit it is in fact,,dead.
