Moon flower seeds

Question
I recently moved to a new home. The yard was in very poor condition and we are redoing the landscaping. We have discovered that we have a couple of moon vines in our yard. How do you collect the seeds of a moon flower? I think they are beautiful flowers and plan to put them around a latticed sitting area in my yard. If you need pictures I would be glad to send them to you.
Thanks for your help.

Answer
Hi Cindy,
Thanx for your question.  By moonflower I am assuming you mean datura or jimsonweed or thornapple (link for picture )http://www.swcoloradowildflowers.com/White%20Enlarged%20Photo%20Pages/datura%20w...

This plant is wild in many parts of the U.S. and all parts of the plant are poisonous.  They make an impressive plant and flower and I have them in my yard also.  After the plant blooms the fruit it leaves behind is called a thornapple because it is about the size of a golfball and very thorny.  When it gets dry the thornapple breaks open and spurts its seeds out.  The seeds are easy to harvest just wear gloves and sprinkle them out of the thornapple.  They germinate in about 20 days at 75 degrees F.  Plant them like you would tomato seeds, slightly covered in moist but not soggy potting soil and keep them warm.  I hope this helps.
Tom
