Unknown flower

Question
I was recently given a plant out of my daughter's garden. The
house was owned by a German couple that came to New Zealand
after the war and developed a large garden, which included flower
beds, vegetable gardens and fruit trees. I have not been able to
identify this plant in any of the books we have or on the net. The
plant is about 60cm tall, has thinish tapering leaves and the flowers
are white thought to a rich pink with a bladder like section at the
back. I have a fairly good photo but don't know how to include this.
Cheers, Richard.

Answer
Hi Richard,
Thanx for your question.  Richard, do you have a Yahoo notebook or a personal webpage?  Can you give me a more in depth description of the flower?  How large is the flower?  Is it open, cup-shaped?  Does it grow in full sun?  Is it a perennial or an annual.  Does it survive frost and go dormant in the winter?  I think if I could see the flower that would be easier.  Please post a follow up with the answers to my questions if you would be so kind.

thanx,
Tom
