flower?
This spring I had this plant come up in 4 different places in my flower beds. I have no idea what it is and the place where it is growing-I would not have planted it there! One plant is about 3.5 to 4 ft tall and it has little buds on the ends of the stems. Can you identify this for me? I live in central North Dakota.

Thanx for your question. I see the liatris. The other plant looks like a weed that is a member of the compositae family which are related to daisies, asters, etc. I'm pretty sure it's a weed, just don't know the exact variety. Let me see a pic of it when it blooms if you would please.
