pump start relay & pump

Question
Ok i'll try to make this as short and simple as i can. I just had a well installed for my sprinkler system, it was running off of city water before. i have an uncle who is going to run the 220v from the panel/box. but we dont how to hook up the "PUMP,PUMP RELAY,CONTROLLER" all together. the controller is a rainbird ESP-LX OR ESP-LXI, and the pump is a GOULDS GT-15.
also i have about 5 zones with rainbird 5000 sprinkler heads but before with the city water it didnt seem like they ever had enough pressure to soak the lawn. will the pump make them push more? or do i have to change them out?

Answer
Ok,run the 220 from the pump to the pump relay and connect it to the bottom terminals of the pump relay (white on one terminal, black on the other and ground). Run 220 from top terminals to power source. Connect the top terminals so they correspond to the bottom. Then run a new piece of low voltage sprinkler wire from your controller to the pump relay. Use red and white. Connect the red and white to the low volt terminals in the relay and the red and white to the pump terminal and the common in the controller. The pump should have a wiring diagram in it so you can wire that up. Hope this helped.
