Question
I just purchased a Flotec FP5172 sprinkler pump to be used
above ground to pump water from a shallow well for
irrigation only.
Can I connect the pump directly to 230V power supply, or
should I connect the pump via a pump relay?

Hey Alex, you will need to hook it to the 230v power supply and also put in a relay switch that is activated by your controller. Basically the pump will have power to it all the time, but it will  only get turned on when the relay (switch) is activated by the controller. So you will need to hook up your 230v supply and a relay switch. Good luck and have a great day.
