Hydrallic Controller Replacement

Question
I have an ancient Toro Freestyle 8 hydrallic irrigation controller.  Is there anyway to adapt the 1/4 inch tubes to a replacement electronic controller?

Thanks

Answer
Greg,

My first hydraulic question.
Toro makes a conversion kit to change over to electric controllers. It comes in 4, 8 and 12 valve units. Model # (EHC-01-12), = 12 station unit. It's made for the NO (normally-open) control system but will work fine on a PT (pin-type) system the "Freetime" controllers use.
They aren't cheap. Actually, more than the controller you'll connect to it, but you don't have to find, dig-up and change all of your valves. Then run wires to all of them.
You may want to try a local Toro dealer, or google "John Deere Landscapes". They are in almost every state and can find the product.
Good luck and if you decide to do this repair yourself, reply back and I can help you with the installation. It's actually rather simple.

Matt
