Vision Series i toro control panel

Question
I have a vision series 1 control panel that worked fine until a thunderstorm came threw and it is not getting any power.  The top fuse on the panel was blown and blew again after I replaced it.  Is there an easy way to fix this or a easy way to replace it..

Answer
Hey blaine, if it keeps blowing fuses, then there is probably something that is too expensive to repair. You can replace the controller fairly easily by yourself. the main thing, is to make sure as you take off the wires that run to the valves, you mark them exactly as you take them off, (#1, #2, common, etc.). this way when you hook them back to the new controller, everything will still work the same. If you don't hook up the common wire correctly, nothing will work. I would suggest installing either a Rainbird "ESP" series controller, or a Irri-Trol "rain dial" series controller. If you need direction, go to www.irrigationtutorials.com, and this website will show you how to install a controller. Good luck and have a great day.
