Rain Sensor with a Toro Vision I Controller

Question
QUESTION: I have a Mini-Click rain sensor that's wires were cut bythe landscaping company with a weedwacker.  I've tried to reconnect, but the system is not working.  I want to try and disconnect the rain sensor completely to make sure that is the problem (the controller seems to be fine, including the two fuses).  How do I disconnect it and set it up so it runs without the rain sensor?

ANSWER: Hello Dennis,

Is the rain sensor wired directly into the timer (does your bypass switch work?) or is it wired directly in to the valve wires meaning that it interrupts the common in the field?

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: I don't think I have a bypass switch.  I think it's wired to the valve wires.  There are 17 screws to attach the wires to.  The first has one yellow wire attached, second has two wires (Grey & Green) the 3rd has 1 Grey, the 4th (COM) has one wire as do all the rest through 14 (I use 9 watering zones).

Answer
If it is wired directly to the valves you will need to find the location where the rain sensor wire interrupts the common. Most likely it is in the same area of the Mini-Clik since the sensor only comes with 30' or so of wire from the factory. At the point where the wire interrupts the common you will just want to take the two current wire connections (one for each of the two wires that the mini-clik runs off of) and just wire them together. So when you first look there will be two wire nuts and when you are done you will only have one wire nut.
