QuestionI have a Hunter SRC Sprinkler Controller (9 watering stations). I just purchased a Toro Wireless Rain Sensor, Model 53770. It is supposed to be compatible, but I haven't gotten it to work because the wiring instructions aren't that clear.
Can you help me with some instruction on which wires connect to which terminals? Thank you.
AnswerHey Tim, start with the 2 red wires from the sensor transmitter, unplug the transformer, and then hook 1 red wire up to one side of the transformer wire on the terminal marked AC, and the other red wire to the other transformer wire terminal marked AC. Now take the common wire off the terminal marked C, and wire nut it to the wire from the sensor transmitter colored white. Then hook the brown wire from the sensor transmitter to the C common terminal. Now you can plug the transformer back in. Good luck and have a great day.
