Plumeria

Question
When My daughter went to Hawaii 4 years ago, she brought  a Plumeria starter plant back home to Pennsylvania. It has only bloomed once but it is growing. It is currently dormant(February). My question is: can you cut off a piece of the stem to create a new plant? If so, how? and when? We live

Answer
Marge, You take cutting in early Summer when it is warm in the shade outdoors. Make the cut 8 to 10 inches below the flowering tip. Water in and roots should form in 6 to 8 weeks. Do not over water and keep it in the shade. Direct stick it into a good Cactus mix. Thanks John
