Is it true that the Jasmine bush needs both a male and female in order to have
a fragrance?

Hi Paula! and Happy holdays to you!:) Jasmines don't need a mate to smell LOL  (and boy the night blooming Jasmines will blow you away if they are too close to a window or door that may be open at night, so take care in where you plant them if you are considering that particular species. always a pleasure Paula, have a great day...regards Nick
