Stella Doro Daylillies

Question
I have harvested about 30 or 40 seed pods from a friend of mine to hopefully start my own bed of these easy-to-grow flowers.
How do I (or can I?) start these from the seeds I got? My friend said to just amend the soil and place them lightly under a small bit of soil and they will sprout next season.  I am in Michigan, in zone 4.  Can you give me some pointers?
Thank you!

Answer
Hi Maureen,
Thanx for your question.  Your friend is correct about the seeds but be sure and don't let weeds and grasses crowd out the seedlings which will resemble grass at first.  The seedlings probably will not result in plants that look like the parent plants because Stell D'Oros are hybrids.  Ihope this helps.
Tom
