frost damage to christmas palm

Question
I have several christmas palms that had some frost damage back in the winter. These are 3 stemmed palms. Each of the tress had at least one branch that fell off at the bark. the remaining stems are beautiful. Should I cut back the stems that lost the leaves? I guess I am saying that they broke off where the crown and bark meet and only the bark is left. Or should I leave them alone?
thanks for your help

Answer
Hi Pamela, Adonidias shed their own fronds, but from an aesthetic standpoint, it wouldn't hurt to prune the broken Petiole back to the trunk, but be careful not to cut into the boot itself, (the boot is the part of the frond that  joins the frond to the trunk). Nick
