Frost Damage - Robellini Palm

Question
I live in Central Florida and our 2 Robellini Palms got frost damage this winter.  I waited to cut off the damage till the end of March.  One palm is 2 legged and one of the palms has started to grow.  The other palm is 4 legged and there is a palm that was saved on one of the legs.  How long should I wait to see if the other legs will render palms?  Should I cut off the top of the legs to encourage growth?  If they are dead since they haven't grown yet, should I cut them off at the ground for appearance sake?

Answer
Hi Linda, give them more time, we need to get into the rainy season to really stimulate new growth; come the end of June ear July and there is no sign of growth from the inactive ones, then I would recomend removing them at soil level. In the mean time, keep them properly irrigated and an application of a well balanced palm granular fertilizer should help.
