snowball bush not growing

Question
I bought a snowball bush and planted it 3 seasons ago.  It has bloomed the last 2 years but it is not growing up or out, it has just stayed the same size.  Should I be pruning it to make it grow thicker?

Answer
Shandera,

Viburnums, while normally a medium growth plant, will sometimes take a few years before they start to add on growth. This is an adjustment period they can go through.

To speed up the growth process, start fertilizing it in the spring and in the fall, do not prune it and keep it free of insects.

Good luck,
