evergreen bush problem

ANSWER: Amy,

Without knowing the exact type of evergreen that you have, it is difficult to diagnose the exact problem. But from the description, it sounds like they may have been damaged from a lawn application of herbicide. Does your neighbor use a lawn service? If not, then I would urge you to contact a tree care company to inspect the plants.

I would recommend fertilization this fall to help strengthen the trees and encourage them to replace the growth that was damaged.

Good luck,

Answer
Amy,

Haevy watering is the only thing that you can do in a situation like this. you will have to try to wash the herbicide out of the area of the roots. Fertilize them in the fall and again in the spring to encourage new growth.

Good luck,
