Daylily
So I was digging up a daylily that was under a large peony bush and when it came up, the root ball looked tiny. So is there any hope for this plant? What should I do to help it grow?

Thanx for your question and thank you for sending the pic. This is what a day lily rhizome is supposed to look like. There is plenty of root material here. Just go ahead and dig a space deep enough and wide enough to fan the roots out and cover them about 4 inches. Side dress with well composted manure or leaf compost. I hope this helps.
