watering house plants

Question
WE have a water softener can I water my plants with the softened water?

Answer
Hi May,

Using softened water for your plants is not a good idea. Softening agents add certain minerals to the water that gradually build up in the soil and become toxic to plants.

It is best to use filtered, distilled or rainwater instead.

Please let me know if any of this is unclear or if you have any additional questions.
