Watering plants

Question
Just simple questions on watering.
Is it harmful to vegetable plants if I use tap water containing chlorine for watering? If so, what is the best way to treat the tap water before using it.
Is it preferable to use rain water / water from the fish pond?
Is it harmful to water plants during hot afternoon or on a hot day?

Not harmful to the plants but harmfull to soil the soil. destroys micro organisisms in soil.

Several ways

Get a garden water filter.
I use GardenGro water filter.
See my website if you can't find otherwise.

I once made my own from a shower filter

Point is to remove chefs from water.

Otherwise it is always important to use compost which adds micros back into soil...

Rain water is great if you can get a reg source of it.  Nice and clean.

Yes
Best to water in early am and then Late after noon.
If you must then best to use a soaker hose and have it under ground. Then you can water all day on low and plants will love it.

Hope this helps you...
