Identify a leaf seeding plant

Question
I was given a seedling by a friend at the begining of summer, it grew in a single shoot straight upwards. No matter how many times i "pinched" out the top to get bushy growth it still kept growing. It has slim pointed thick leaves, two accross from each other, the next set run 90 degrees from the set below. after a couple of weeks on holiday i noticed there are seeds being generated along the edge of the leaves (which are about 3" long and about and inch wide) and all my other pot plants around have started to germinate the fallen seeds in their pots. it now stands around 1.5 - 2ft tall (very bright conditions) can anybody help identify? thanx, matt

Answer
Hi Matt,

From your description, I believe that your plant is a Kalanchoe daigremontiana or mother-of-thousands. The latter name refers to the many tiny plantlets that grow on the edges of the leaves.

If I am mistaken, please email a photo to my address below.

Please let me know if any of this is unclear or if you have any additional questions about its care.

If this information has been helpful, please take the time to give me a rating and nomination.
