Please help me identify my houseplant

Question
Hi - I don't think my plant looks anything like a china doll.  I tried to figure out how to send pictures but need some instructions.

-----Question-----
Hi - I purchased a little plant a few months ago and I love it but have no idea what it is.  It's a dainty, delicate thing, about 2 feet tall and all the leaves come off of a center stem that's less than 1/4" diameter.  Leaf "groups" come off the center stem like a schefflera - they're like a "hand".  Each "hand" usually has seven leaves, but some have as many as nine or as little as five.  Each leaf is 4" to 7" long and really thin, only about 1/4" wide, and is serrated on both sides.  The leaves have a central vein that runs from base to tip.  The leaves are really dark green but the central stem of the plant is actually kind of brown and woody, except for the newest growth.  It doesn't grow very fast, about 4" height in 10 months.  That's about all I can tell you - I've looked for months to find another plant like it with no luck, so I'm hoping you can tell me something.  Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Carol,
I can't be totally sure without seeing a picture of the plant but I believe the plant you described is a China Doll ( Radermachera Sinica ).
I hope this helps. If you have any questions or need additional information please don't hesitate to ask.
Thanks
Tracy

Answer
Hi Carol,
Like I said, it is really hard to give you an accurate answer without seeing the plant.
Another guess would be that it is a Ficus.
I'm sorry but I do not know how to upload pictures.
If you find a way to send it, you can send it to me at
[email protected]
Thanks
Tracy
