Aglonema

Question
Can you take a piece off this plant and start a new flower? would you root in water or soil if possible...

Answer
Hi Julia,
Aglaonema are propagated by removing suckers (offshoots) and planting them in another pot. Suckers are the little offshoots that grow up, usually from under the soil, from a larger stem.
When an Aglaonema gets leggy, you can cut a main stem and re-root it. Make the cut just below where a leaf is growing, remove the bottom 2-4 leaves, dip the cut end in rooting hormone and put it in fresh soil. It should root in about 2-3 weeks.

I hope this helps. If you have any questions or need additional information please don't hesitate to ask.
          Thanks
