Question
There seems to be a sudden surge in the number of white 'grub-like' insects worming in and out of my soil, and numbers at this point apparently number in the thousands. I have isolated the plant and at this point (night-time)I see a lot of them on the surface of the soil worming around. Am I only left with the option of discarding the entire plant + pot of soil?

Answer
Hi Jimmie,

I am not sure why you felt my reply lacked knowledge. Could you explain that. In addition, I answered your question in less than 6 hours, although you did not read my reply until 6 hours after that.

I pride myself on the quality of my answers and the timeliness in which I reply. I do not get paid for the answers I provide, so good ratings are my only reward. I don't understand why you felt I came up short when you rated me.

Hi Jimmie,

I suggest that you plunge the pot up to its rim into a tub filled with plain water. Leave it there about an hour. This will force the grubs up and out in search of air so you can remove them. You may need a repeat treatment in a week or so if you find any remaining.
