watering nepenthes pitcher plants

Question

70 gal
hello, i was wondering if one could use the fish tank water from a canister filter, it works great for fertilizer for other plants, i know that most of my carnivorous plants, if not all like distilled water which is what I've always used , i just added some neps in a 70gal dart frog tank, i have orchids in it also, high humidity, a fan for air flow, temp is in the 70s and 99% humidity, what do you think about the fish water, thanks alot

Answer
Hi Daniel,

This is great for Nepenthes.  It's nice and dilute, and they should respond well to it.  Don't use it on bog species such as sundews and flytraps.   They won't like it.

Good Growing!
