Dromancy

Question
I am planning to buy your bladder wort (tropical one) but i don't know the method for the bladderwort. I heard that they need dry winter rest. Is it true and how can i do it?

Answer
Yes and no.  In the wild, the plant will naturally experience a somewhat "dry" period when it doesn't rain.  However, that doesn't mean that the soil dries out.  It just means that it's not as damp as it is during the summer months.

Don't worry about it, however.  We keep the soil roughly at the same moisture level throughout the year without a "dry" period.  The plants seem to grow just fine and are extremely prolific.  So do you have to provide a dry winter?  No.  The natural drop in sunlight hours will cause it to slow down, but decreasing the water isn't necessary for the yearly cycle of the plant.

Good growing!
