holly bush with white spots on underleaf

Question
I was trimming back a holly bush in PA (Lancaster)my porch today and notice that there are white spots all over the underleaf of the bush.  SHould I use a fungicide or what is your suggestion?  THe bush was planted 2002.

Answer
Hi,Jean                                                         How r u? NO need 4 a fungicide u have a bug called [SCALE]!          This is soft body insect that feeds on the under neath of the leaf and appears as to look like white cotton fuzz.Sometimes the top of the leaf gets a black mold from the scale bug droppings.Treat with a insecticidal soap or use SEVEN these r both at the garden center n or homedepot etc.Follow label and repeat in 2 weeks and u should b fine!GOOD LUCK!!
