white spots on phycosleaves

Question
The phycos fence that I have at my house is terrible loosing the leaves and I found that the leaves are covered with white spots...what to do to in order to fight against this problem?               Thks in advance for your help

Answer
May be an insect problem.  See if the white spots will rub off and have liquid inside.  If this is the case, you can treat with an insecticide such as malathion.  OR you can use Bayer Advanced Tree and Shrub Insecticide which is mixed with water and poured around the base of the plants.  IT is taken up thru the roots and will kill most bugs within a week or two.  It also provides up to a year of protection from reinfestation.  If none of this seems right, then it could be a fungal disease.  In that case, treat with daconil fungicide, which can be bought at most garden centers.  IF you use the fungicide, you will need to retreat in about 10 days later.  Good Luck.
