Question
Hi Kathy we have fox tail palms and had several hard freezes this winter, the fronds that survived were burned but seemed to be ok but lately there have rotted at the trunk and fallen over, there is no new growth yet and when I looked at the top it seemed dead and looks shredded and brown. the trunks are 15 feet tall. Is there any thing we can do and how long do we wait before cutting them down?

Hi David, If there is any green on top where the fronds are coming out you must clean out the dead fronds and pour in peroxide once a week or use Atomic Grow to kill the fungus that is in there.  This comes from the head of the Palm Tree Society, or else it is a dead.  kathy
