Problem with Boxwoods

Question
I recently purchased four boxwoods from a local nursery and have a problem.  I planted the shrubs in the front of the house (it receives sun 6 hours a day) and watered them.  My girlfriend then sprayed the bushes with water in the morning.  The next day, all of the leaves were dried out and falling off the plant.  Do you think this was the result of spraying them with water and the sun caused the leaves to dry out?  Thanks.

Answer
I doubt it...sounds more like transplant shock, or failure to water them after initial planting, so they got dried out underground at the root level.

If there is still a bit of green on them (the leaves haven't become brown or brittle), keep up the watering, until established.  If its a particularly hot spot, water them a couple of times a day.

If the leaves are falling off then they are probably already dead.
