Question
I ordered a Ping. Aphrodite from you and while reading the care guide on the web site it said to have the plant in a dish of standing water but on the DVD you said with Butterworts don't have it in standing water.  I'm confused.  I want to make sure I water it correctly and not have it meet the fate of the Montezumae that I may have killed by under watering.  What is the correct method for watering an Aphrodite?

African Violet Pot   Hi Pat,

This one is a very durable plant and will tolerate wetter conditions, but they will do best keeping them just moist, not wet.  This applies to most all Mexican butterworts with just a few exceptions.  You can let them have a little water in their tray, but them them use it up before adding more.  Using African Violet pots can be and easy way to achieve this.
