PSI, GPM why my sprinkler zone isnt working better

Question
I had a new 1" copper supply installed from the meter. Everything under my house is 3/4" copper. PVC 1" lines to valves; 3/4" PVC to heads.
First, my PSI fluctuates between 70 and 100. Shouldn'y my plumber that installed my supply install a pressure regulator? I think most folks use 60PSI?

Second, even with that high PSI my GPM is only 6 thru my outdoor faucet. I even created a lateral elbow out of 3/4" from my 1" mailine (just past the RPZ) and still only had 6GPM. Any ideas why my GPM isn't up there near the max for 3/4" (approx 11 GPM?)?

Finally, I have a zone near the street watering the "strips" of grass. There are about 12 heads whose total GPM are about 4. The 3/4" pipe going to this zone is about 110 feet long. I can't seem to get enough PSI/GPM to pop-up the sprinklers (using Toro 570). Any ideas on where to start? My calcs show this should easily work.
Thanks, Randy

Answer
Thanks for your question.
I hate to point fingers but it sound as if the 1" copper from the street has been kinked or a stone got into it while being installed and has lodged in the fitting where it reduces from 1 " to 3/4". Your plumber or the water department may need to check this for you. They will have to open the 1" and flow test it.
All of you calculations are correct you should be getting 10-12 GPM from the faucet.
I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I think you supply line is the problem.

Matt
