I can't get any of the zones to go on manually, or when programmed. There is power and the zones light up when I select them amnually, but don't come on

Check

1. One or more zone switches are in the  off position. 2. The common wire is not hooked up. 3. Valve flow stem is screwed down too far.

If you have an electric backflow be sure the water is open, check the solenoid it should measure between 20 an 60 ohms, replace it is it's outside those values.
