RAIN BIRD ESP-6TM Not working

Question
We just moved into a house that has a Rain Bird Irrigation system.  It is model ESP-6TM installed with 4 stations.  The main controller is set up in the garage on the wall and seems to be working.  We have the manual and followed the steps to do a test on all four stations.  The control pad shows it counting down but nothing happens outside.  I have never had a sprinkler system so I don't know if I have to turn something else on before I use it.

We did have a home inspection done before we bought the place and he said he couldn't test it because of the rain sensor.  My husband says the rain sensor is not attached to anything.

Any info would be helpful.

Answer
Hi Amy
The ESP connects to a
Backflow valve and or the
4 zone valves. At the back
Flow there is a gate valve
If it is closed there will be
No watering. If has been raining
The sensor will prevent the irrigation
The sensor is connected to the ESP
At the rain sensor port inside
The controller.

Guillermo
