Summer Crops

Question
I'm looking for good vegetables to plant in my garden in central ohio during the month of July.  I currently have cabbage and would like to grow more, but am unsure if it is too late in the season.  Any suggestions on what other veggies would be successful would be great.

Answer
Tyler, you can still plant beans, beets, and carrots from seed. You can also grow cabbage and broccoli from transplants for a late fall harvest. Finally, toward the end of July, you can plant lettuce and spinach, both cool weather crops, which can be harvested until your first hard frost in late October or early November.

Good luck, and have a great day.

Mike
