Question
My sarracenia Flava has started to produce a flower bud. That would be cool if it wasn't the 23 of August! Its just weird, why is it doing this?

Hi Jesus,

This is a fairly common occurrance on the early season Sarracenia such as flava and oreophila.  It's a nice little treat.  Unfortunately, fall flowers don't have enough time to mature to produce seeds.
