Hi I live in Durham NC 27703. I would like to know how to hold over 2012 early alaska garden peas for 2013 planting I have two 1# bags that were given to me this month Generally we plant garden peas on Valentine`s Day but I have never had any left over before. Is there a special way I should keep them?

Dear Betty,
I make sure I keep all harvested seeds in a very dry place.  I hull all peas and beans once they are dry.  I use small totes or those plastic shoe boxes.  You must be in the same growing zone I am.  That's when we plant peas and lettuce.
