Ants

Question
i have problem with garden ants, first of all mine vegetab growing fine, petals also good, but when time goes, its shrinks, but when i take out  the plant the roots is spoil by ants, please suggest me for the sam3

Answer
Ants are very difficult to eradicate without using chemicals. There are many powder-based chemicals that are very effective, but I try to avoid using these in the vegetable garden whenever possible. The one that is safe is Sevin. Sevin comes in both a powder and concentrated liquid. Just sprinkle it around the base of the plants, and it will kill the ants.

Two organic alternatives are boric acid powder in combination with diatomaceous earth. DE is comprised of crushed fossils that literally cut the soft bodies of most crawling insects. I have used these products successfully on ants in both my home and garden. You can purchase these at many garden centers or online at sites such as Gardens Alive or Planet Natural, two companies that specialize in organic controls. Just type ants or insect control in their search field, or use their pull-down menus.

Good luck, and please write again if I can ever be of assistance.
