fig tree leaves

Question
i recently put a potted fig tree outside. I live in PA and the weather has recently become warmer. I put tree outside in the sun and then moved it into the garage at night. Two days in the sun asnd the numerous leaves on the tree from inside are now turning brown or they are losing their color. What would cause this? Have the leaves been burned?

Answer
Yes, the tree did not have time to adjust to the sun from being inside in the shade. When a plant is in the sun for a period of time it gets a protective layer on it's leaves that keeps it from burning. If it hasn't had time to develop that protection, it will burn. So, just as you need to give it time to adjust to the temperature, you also need to give it time to adjust to the suns rays. It will not kill it, just damage it.
