Chicago Fig Tree

Question
Fig Tree 1
Fig Tree 1

fig tree 2
fig tree 2
Nick,
Problems with my Chicago fig tree again.    I sent you photos in July because it stopped growing for few weeks.   You said my tree looked healthy, leaves were not curled up and not to worry.
I traveled for 2 weeks and my husband watered it every third days when I was gone.   Upon return I saw two new figs but the leaves were curling.   The first fig that stopped growing when the tree stopped growing never started to grow again.   New two fig (see photos of all) are nice but also not growing.    New buds of leaves that were trying to come out are dried up.    I also see one brown spot on one leave (see photo).  Brown spot appeared after all other problems were visible and there is only one spot.   Does my tree has a diseases or I do not take proper care of it?  what do you suggest I do now?   Appreciate your help.   (second email has a photo of the leave with a brown spot)
Julia

Answer
I answered the other question first,,,without seeing this one, it may have a little powdery mildew, but its hard to tell from the pictures, the pictures really don't show me anything troubling; powdery mildew is from too dry an environment,,,start spraying the leaves every morning too keep a humid condition around it and it wouldn't hurt to spray it with a fungicide like "Daconil", if it does have a touch of fungus this will help it , if it doesn't , it won't hurt it. It is difficult to help you this way, but if there was anything serious I would see it. The fact that it stopped growing is not really too concerning,,it is probably just resting, most plants take rest periods, especially in the Fall. Nick
