FIG TREE LEAVES

Question
I HAVE A 2 YEAR OLD  VENTED POTTED FIG TREE. THERE IS VIGOROUS STEM AND LEAF  GROWTH WITH NUMEROUS FIGS GROWING. THE PAST 2 WEEKS LOWER LEAVES ARE YELLOWING AND FALLING OFF.TOO MUCH WATER? FUNGUS? HELP!!!

Answer
Hi Ernie..Figs get a rust when it is humid or damp or if you over head water.  As soon as it stops raining, or the humidity drops or you quit wetting the leaves new green leaves will re-appear.  There is nothing you can really do to stop it, it doesn't hurt the plant just does not look pretty.
