Question
Hello, first off i磀 like toapologize on eventual english mistakes, as it is my second language. I am form Brazil, Mariana, and i own four bonsai trees, perhaps the name for them in english are diferent, since they are the popular names and not cientific but they are a Jasmin, Cherry, Black pine, and azal閕a. They are 8,8,7,and 6 years odl respectively. My question is this, i have owned them for 2 growing seasons now, and so i am quite familiar (or so i believe) and confortable with theire care, pruning, watering specifications for each one. Although they are too young to identify particular styles to each i磀 like to start working on that. The pine is clearly slanted since it is almost 15 degrees or less slanted to the left with sparse leafs, the cherry seems to be going towards broom, the jasmin with exposed roots and the azal閕a witht he cascade style. I feel preety confortable having read alot on each style, but i feel preety isolated where i am , and i really enjoy my hobby. Where can i feel some guidance on more frequent basis (maybe monthly) as to where i am going wrong, or how can i improve balance/harmony on each tree? I know they are too young to be defined as a determined style, but i磀 like to work harder on them to start definine them. Do you know of someone who can help through online? Thank you

Answer
Hi Gabriel,

You are doing a wonderful job and it sounds like you are knowledgeable about bonsai gardening. There are several online forums that you can visit for extra help. All of these forums are free and you can upload pictures of your trees to get advice from other gardeners.

1. http://www.Learning2Bonsai.com: This is an online community for new bonsai gardeners. I do not think that the articles will be advanced enough for you, but there is an "ask a question" area where others can try to help you. But again, the forum is mostly for new gardeners.

2. http://www.bonsaisite.com http://www.bonsaitalk.com, http://knowledgeofbonsai.org/forum/ are all great places to learn about bonsai.

I hope you find this helpful, but please let me know if i can help answer other questions. thank you
